Free medical brigade in Milagro
Medical brigade in the canton of Milagro – Ciudadela Unida Norte, Guayas Province. Saturday August 23, 2025.
Brigade coordination
This medical brigade was made possible thanks to the coordination of our volunteer leader Lcda. María José Moretta, her family and Sra. Gina Betancourt, to whom we extend our deepest gratitude for their openness and commitment to the community.
Thanks to the efforts of our medical team and volunteer leaders from Fundación LIRES, free care was provided to children, teenagers, older adults and people with disabilities in this area.
Services provided
During this day, services were offered such as:
- General medicine
- Free distribution of medications
- Vitamin supplementation
- Free eyeglasses for people with limited resources
- Optometry
- Manicure and pedicure
- Recreational activities for children
All of this was done by the grace and mercy of God, with the commitment of our health professionals and volunteers, who, with their gifts, talents, vehicles and resources, make every mission possible.
Partners and donors
We deeply thank our partners and donors:
- Fundación ASENIR which donated multivitamins for this day, and during the week also donated a dental chair and a panoramic X-ray machine, thanks to our friends Ing. Edmundo Jordán Maruri and Lcda. Claudia Álvarez for always keeping us in mind.
- Laboratorios ROCNARF, for their valuable collaboration and donation of medications.
- DYVENPRO, part of the DIFARE group, for their constant contribution of medications
- Ana María Nieto for the donation of blood pressure medicine

Thanks to the team of 16 volunteers from Fundación LIRES who took part in this day.
The team from Fundación Lires that traveled to bless this community was led by its president Lcdo. Fabián Correa Figueroa, Ab Mariela Yambay Vice President and other team members Dra. Viviana Morocho, Dra. Andreina Alcívar, MSc Nery Vera, Pastor Jorge Carpio, CPA Leonela Chipantiza, Anderson Vélez, José Luis Veliz, Narcisa García, Pastor Gonzalo Recuenco, Patricia Aspiazu, doctors and volunteers who for different reasons could not join us on this day, but are looking out for the rest of the team,
