The day in Juján
On Friday, March 28, 2025, part of the team of Fundación Líderes con Responsabilidad Social del Ecuador traveled to the canton of Juján once again to hold a medical brigade in the recinto Estero El Convento. We held this event thanks to the coordination of the GAD (Decentralized Autonomous Government) of the Alfredo Baquerizo Moreno Canton " Juján" headed by the Mayor, Ángela Herrera Méndez, thanks to her work team Mercedes Herrera (councilwoman), Sonnia Arreaga who gave us every facility to work as a team. Thanks also for the collaboration of Lcda. Alicia Ruiz and Dr. José Carrasco of the health center Libertad de Ñauza. We greatly appreciate the collaboration of each doctor. Thanks to DYVENPRO, which is part of the prestigious Grupo Difare and is one of our collaborators who help us continue our work in the field with the medical brigades. Thanks also to the team of professional volunteer leaders of the foundation LIRES who, with their gifts, talents, resources and vehicles, collaborate in the different activities. Despite the heavy rainy season, every week they travel along flooded roads and neighborhood paths and try to meet some of the needs of the population, where the vast majority show happiness at seeing the willingness to carry out shared work, as was the case here, and joined efforts: GAD Jujan, Libertad de Ñauza Health Center, the foundation LIRES and the community. The medical brigades of LIRES aim to provide assistance to priority care groups with an emphasis on children, adolescents, older adults and people with disabilities.
Services provided
Free care and medicine were provided. We also held recreational activities with the children, manicure and pedicure services, mole removal, vitamin supplementation, dentistry and optometry, all of this by the grace and mercy of God.
